Missionaries and Ministries
What is Quench Ministry? It is our new ladies group here at Byrd's Chapel! Why Quench Ministry? It is our heart to reach out to one another and to our community. Quench signifies our thirst for friendships, Christian fellowship, prayer, God's word, praise, thanks giving, helping others, and being the disciples that God has called us to be.
Quench Ministries will meet at 5:30 pm the fourth Thursday of every month. Every third month we will have a potluck dinner. Each time we meet someone will give a little devotional, we will pray together, share together, and love together. Our time together will strengthen our friendship with one another, our community, and God.
We have chosen to be "missionaries" to the homebound in our community. We want to help them in whatever way they may need a blessing. The homebound and their families may need food, friendship, conversation, prayer, or help around the house. Each lady will help according to their ability, time, and calling. In order to help our homebound we want to give them needed food, friendship, prayer, and lots of love. We want to be able to help in any way we can. In order to help we will be holding food drives, bake sales, and other creative ways to raise funds to help buy food (i.e. eggs, milk, bread) or give monetary support (i.e. need help paying electric bill).
We are all very excited about our new ministry and welcome any and every woman to come join us in service, friendship, and fellowship!
